🐾 Deleting your data

On-device data (walks, dogs, history, settings)

1. Press and hold the PetSignal icon on your Home Screen.
2. Tap Remove App → Delete App.

Every walk, dog profile and photo stored on the phone is destroyed with the app, and if you are signed out that is the only copy — it cannot be recovered afterwards. If you are signed in, your dogs and walks are backed up to your account and will return when you sign in again; to remove those too, delete the account using the steps below.

PetSignal account and online data

1. Open PetSignal and choose Dogs → Account.
2. Tap Delete account and confirm.

This permanently deletes the online account and everything backed up to it, including your dogs and every walk and route. Removal is enforced by the database itself: those records are tied to the account and are deleted with it, not merely marked as gone. You do not need to email support to complete deletion.

Community reports you posted

Legacy hazard, lost & found and place reports may be stored without an identity attached and expire automatically (lost & found after 14 days; hazards up to 30 days depending on type; community places persist until removed).

To remove one sooner, email aiethereals@gmail.com with the report’s rough location and description and we will delete it within 7 days.

Park posts and media

The Park feed is currently local-only, so deleting the app removes its posts, replies and media. Before public community sync is enabled, the app and this page will provide account deletion and individual post deletion backed by the server.

Subscriptions

Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Cancel in Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions.
